By accessing books.womenincomex.com you accept these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website. These terms are between you and Desert Ledger Bookkeeping LLC, an Arizona limited liability company.
Use of this website
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- Use the site in any way that breaches applicable federal, state or local law;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, its server, or connected systems;
- Introduce malicious code, or conduct automated scraping that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
- Reproduce, republish or resell any part of the site content without our written permission.
We may suspend or withdraw the site without notice for maintenance or operational reasons, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Our services
Desert Ledger Bookkeeping provides bookkeeping, payroll support, accounts payable and receivable administration, management reporting and year-end preparation support. The exact scope of any engagement is defined in a written engagement letter, which takes precedence over general descriptions on this website.
We are not a certified public accounting firm. We do not prepare or file tax returns, perform audits, reviews or compilations under professional attest standards, or provide tax, legal or investment advice. Nothing on this website creates a professional accountancy engagement.
Your responsibilities as a client
Accurate bookkeeping depends on accurate inputs. You agree to:
- Provide complete and truthful information, records and supporting documentation;
- Supply bank, card and merchant statements within five business days of a request;
- Maintain your own copies of source documents and safeguard your account credentials;
- Review the reports we deliver and notify us of any apparent error within thirty days;
- Be solely responsible for approving and releasing any payment to a vendor or employee.
We rely on the information you provide without independent verification and are not responsible for consequences arising from information that is incomplete, inaccurate or withheld.
Fees, invoicing and payment
- Monthly fees are invoiced on the first day of the month for that month's service and are payable within ten days.
- Project work is invoiced fifty per cent on acceptance of the quote and the balance on delivery.
- Accepted payment methods are ACH bank transfer and major credit cards. All amounts are stated in US dollars.
- Invoices outstanding beyond thirty days may attract a late fee of 1.5 per cent per month, and we may suspend work until the account is current.
- Fees are reviewed no more than twice a year, with thirty days' written notice of any change.
Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Confidentiality
Each party will keep the other's confidential information in confidence and use it only for the purposes of the engagement. Our obligations survive termination. We may disclose information where required by law or where you have instructed us to correspond with your professional advisers.
Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, layout, graphics, the Desert Ledger name and logo, is owned by Desert Ledger Bookkeeping LLC or licensed to us, and is protected by United States copyright and trademark law. Templates, checklists and workpapers we develop remain our property; you receive a perpetual licence to use deliverables produced for you under an engagement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- This website is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data or business interruption.
- Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to an engagement is limited to the total fees paid by you to us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms or from information you provided that was inaccurate or incomplete.
Term and termination
Either party may terminate a monthly engagement by giving thirty days' written notice. We may suspend or terminate immediately where fees remain unpaid beyond sixty days, where we are asked to act unlawfully or unethically, or where the working relationship has irretrievably broken down. On termination we will deliver a complete export of your records within ten business days, provided your account is settled.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith through direct discussion, and then through mediation in Maricopa County, Arizona. Any unresolved dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.
General provisions
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with any engagement letter, form the entire agreement between us. We may update these terms from time to time; the version published here at the time of your use is the one that applies.
