Our commitment

Desert Ledger Bookkeeping LLC is committed to making this website accessible to the widest possible audience, and to meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a minimum standard.

What we have done

• Semantic HTML structure with a single main heading per page and a logical heading order.
• A skip-to-content link as the first focusable element on every page.
• Keyboard access to all navigation, form controls and interactive elements, with visible focus styling.
• Descriptive alternative text on all meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology.
• Text and background colour combinations tested to meet or exceed a 4.5:1 contrast ratio for body text.
• Form fields with associated labels, clear required-field indication, and error messages announced to screen readers.
• Respect for the operating system's reduced-motion preference: animations are disabled when that setting is on.
• Responsive layout that reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels and supports 200 per cent text zoom.

Current conformance status

This website is substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Substantially conformant means most of the site meets the standard, with some minor exceptions. We are aware that embedded third-party content, such as mapping services opened from our contact page, is outside our direct control and may not meet the same standard.

How we assess

The site is evaluated using a combination of automated tooling and manual testing, including keyboard-only navigation, screen reader review with NVDA and VoiceOver, and colour contrast checks. We reassess after any significant redesign and at least once a year.
